Ravens-Texans re-scheduled for Nov. 9; Bengals bye-week moved to make room

Due to extensive damage at Reliant Stadium and the devastation in Houston and the surrounding areas caused by Hurricane Ike, the Texans' home game against the Ravens originally slated for Week 2 has been rescheduled for Sunday, November 9 at Reliant Stadium at noon Houston time (1 p.m. ET) on CBS.

 

Short notice made it logistically impossible to play this week at alternate sites. The change in dates also affects Cincinnati's bye-week schedule.

 

The regular season schedule for Houston, Baltimore and Cincinnati has been changed as a result of this weekend's postponement. The changes for these three teams are as follows:

Texans Revised Schedule
Sunday, September 14    Bye    
Sunday, October 26      Cincinnati at Houston

Sunday, November 9      Baltimore at Houston  

Houston's bye has been changed from Sunday, October 26 to Sunday, September 14.

 

The Texans' next two games will take place as scheduled on the road - Sunday, September 21 against Tennessee at LP Field and Sunday, September 28 against Jacksonville at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.

Cincinnati's bye has been changed from Sunday, October 26 to Sunday, November 9.

 

Houston's home game against Cincinnati originally scheduled for Sunday, November 9 has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 26 at Reliant Stadium at 3:05 p.m. Houston time (4:05 p.m. ET) on CBS.
