The Busts
Well, the name says it all. These are the first-round draft picks who simply failed to do anything of consequence in the NFL and, in most instances, were quickly ushered out of the league.
You'll probably fail to recognize most of these names, except for those made infamous by on- or off-field troubles. Rae Carruth, Carolina's No. 1 pick in 1997, is behind bars for murder. Freddie Mitchell, Philly's No. 1 pick in 2001, was a classic underachiever during his four years in the league. He then embarrassed himself by talking trash before Super Bowl XXXI and proceeding to catch just 1 pass for 11 yards as Philly lost to New England. It was his last game in football.
Most of these players are already out of the league.
