Detroit’s Jahvid Best led all week 5 rushers using CHFF’s Rusher Rating System, but Philadelphia’s LeSean McCoy regained the season lead from Buffalo’s Fred Jackson. In fact, for the first time this season, a running back has achieved a perfect score for the week.
Best’s 12 carries for 163 yards and one touchdown gave him a perfect Rusher Rating of 158.33. Arizona’s Chris “Beanie” Wells moved into second place for the season with his 20 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown (113.13 Rusher Rating). Jackson fell to third place with a 130.81 overall season rating.
Despite their losing the game, the Philadelphia Eagles topped the Week 5 charts with a 149.23 rusher rating, namely on Michael Vick’s five carries for 90 yards (151.54 Rusher Rating). However, his number of carries fell below the required minimum to make the list.
