THE FACTS

-The Bengals were the first team to hold New England without a touchdown since September 20, 2009, when the Jets held the Patriots to three field goals.

-Jeff Tuel's disastrous debut in relief last Thursday yielded 40 percent completions (eight of 20), the worst for a Bill since Ryan Fitzpatrick went 13 for 34 (38.24 percent) on December 11, 2011.

KEY MATCHUP: Tuel will take a back seat to forgotten Browns one-game-wonder Thaddeus Lewis, who played decently against the Steelers last December (22 for 32, 204 yards, a touchdown, and a pick).

After stonewalling Tom Brady in the rain, the Bengals defense get this virtual unknown. Lewis' challenge: topple a defense that only allows 33.33 percent of third downs to convert (seventh best in the NFL).
