The Scrubs

 

How do you become a Scrub? You join the NFL amid high hopes and big money, then proceed to put up lowly little numbers.

 

The Scrubs are best represented by Kevin Dyson and Koren Robinson. Dyson had his one moment in the sun when he caught a potential Super Bowl-tying, career-defining pass for Tennessee in Super Bowl XXXIV against St. Louis.

 

Dyson fell inches short of the goal line. His career fell short, too, ending after the 2003 season with just 178 receptions and 18 TDs.

 

Robinson, meanwhile, was a notorious underperformer for four years in Seattle. The Seahawks went on to the Super Bowl the year after Robinson moved on to Minnesota, where he proceeded to make his first Pro Bowl appearance – as a kick returner.

 

Of this group, only third-year players Reggie Williams and Michael Jenkins have a legitimate opportunity to raise thier play to another level.
