Dalton's Cincinnati Bengals were driving with three minutes to play in the fourth quarter and trailing the Houston Texans 19-13. A.J. Green had beaten two defenders up the seam and was open in the end zone, but Dalton's pass was a few yards too long. The Bengals turned the ball over on downs and did not threaten again.
Dalton suffered his second straight playoff loss at the hands of the Texans, illustrating the fine line between hero and goat in the National Football League.
