When the home team is giving three points to its opponent, it's almighty Gamblor's cute little way of saying that the two teams are even.
Hmmm. So how does that explain Green Bay at Denver tonight?
The Packers have clearly been the better team. They're 5-1 vs. Denver's 3-3. They're +35 in point differential while the Broncos are -58. Green Bay is 3-0 vs. Quality Teams, the Broncos are 1-2.
The Packers are a pass-first team, the Broncos have the No. 28 defensive passer rating. The Broncos' defense is terrible across the board, while the Packers have no statistical weaknesses. And the Packers are +5 on Big Plays while the Broncos are a terrible -9.
Is the Mile High air really such a factor? Well, the Packers are 0-5 there all time, so perhaps. And the NFC has been coming up well short vs. the AFC over the past month.
However, the Cold, Hard numbers point strongly to a Green Bay win here, and who are we to argue?
