Newsflash: Bonzo finally stumbles
Cold, Hard Monkey Facts for October 21, 2007
For the first time in six weeks, Bonzo the incredible coin-flipping prognosticating Idiot Monkey finished under .500.
He went 6-7 against the spread last week -- not exactly an embarrassment, but not in keeping with his remarkable 49-26 record from Weeks 1-5. His season mark of 55-33 is still as good as you're going to find in the picking-vs.-the-spread business.
Bonzo is still beating all of the "experts" on CBSSports.com, with a two-game lead on Pete Prisco (53-35) and four-game lead on Clark Judge.
Not bad for an ape. Still, Bonzo was upset about his bad week, and spent much of Tuesday and Wednesday moping around in his pen. He didn't want to play with his pet kitten Whiskers, and refused to bathe even though he dearly loves bubble baths.
But he snapped out of it, and offered this statement through our "Monkey Translator 3000" software: "Bonzo sorry ... Bonzo still smart! ... Bonzo kill team no win he pick! ... Bonzo get drunk?"
Here are Bonzo's Week 7 picks.
