1st and 10 poll: Week 7 approacheth
CHFF for October 20, 2007
1. Are the Falcons making a mistake benching Joey Harrington for Byron Leftwich?
No. Harrington was pretty good, but they're going nowhere. Have to find out what Leftwich can do.
Yes. The NFC South is still up for grabs, and Harrington gave them the best chance to win.
What? I thought Michael Vick was the Falcons' QB!
2. Wade Phillips and Jason Taylor both claimed over the past few days to have been misquoted by Peter King. Were they misquoted, or did they just want to distance themselves from a moment of candor?
They made King the scapegoat
King misquoted them
3. Minnesota at Dallas:
Dallas in a blowout
Dallas just covers the spread (-9.5)
Dallas in a squeaker
Minnesota in a squeaker
Minnesota rolls
4. The Ravens could be without Ray Lewis (among others) in Buffalo this weekend. Do the Bills have a chance?
More than a chance -- they're going to win
They'll be competitive, but the experienced Ravens will prevail
If the Bills couldn't win with six turnovers in their pocket vs. Dallas, how are they going to beat the cautious Ravens?
As long as I don't have to watch it on TV, I don't care
5. What kind of impact will Chris Chambers have in San Diego?
A big one. They've needed a go-to receiver for years, and this brings them up to the AFC elite
He'll help, but the Chargers still aren't in the class with Indy, NE and Pitt.
Chambers is pretty good, but nothing more. A second-round pick was too much to give up.
Who the f--- is Chris Chambers?
6. Indianapolis at Jacksonville:
Colts have too much O for Jax, cruise to win
Colts keep up with the Pats, but it's not easy
Jags pull the mild upset at home on Monday night
Jags have another huge rushing day, dominate Indy
7. Which of these teams takes the biggest step down at QB from injured starter to backup?
TEN (Vince Young-Kerry Collins)
BAL (Steve McNair-Kyle Boller)
SF (Alex Smith-Trent Dilfer)
STL (Marc Bulger-Gus Frerotte)
8. New England at Miami:
Patriots win by a minimum of 21 points
Patriots are right around the spread (16.5), give or take a field goal
A close game, but Patriots win
Fins will continue their mastery of Pats in Fla.
9. Which of these Week 7 games would you LEAST like to watch?
ATL at NO
BAL at BUF
NYJ at CIN
KC at OAK
NE at MIA
10. Have you done any of the following since the start of the football season: watched an NHL game, watched a soccer game, watched a political debate.
NHL
Sports only
Soccer
Politics only
Debate
None
All three
That is the stupidest question ever. It's time to call this the 1st and 9 poll.
