An interesting hodge-podge of games with the typical curious broadcast. For example, why is Albany, N.Y. being fed the Houston-Jacksonville game, which is otherwise being shown only in Texas and parts of the Southeast? Hell, it’s not even being shown in Jacksonville, because the game didn’t sell out in time. Most of the country is being fed Tennessee-Tampa Bay, which is a testament to the budding star power of Vince Young ... or the lack of any decent games at this hour.
Well, just be glad you don’t live in California or Arizona. The rest of the country is being fed Guess Which Game with CBS’s No. 1 crew of Jim Nantz and Phill Simms.
Most of the country getting a 1 p.m. game from Fox, with a colorful rainbow of locations that, at times, defy description: like, what did the folks in Cleveland and Cincinnati do to deserve the Carolina-Arizona game? And why does the eastern half of New England get the Washington-Green Bay game, when the western half gets Philly-N.Y. Jets? Also, with Joe Buck calling baseball, Troy Aikman is paired with Kenny Albert for Fox's top broadcast of Redskins-Packers.
