1st and 10 poll: Week 6 is a-comin' edition
Cold, Hard Football Facts for October 11, 2007

While the New England-Dallas game is the unquestioned Week 6 highlight (until they play the games, of course), there are other games scheduled.

So, we only spend 30 percent of our valuable poll space ($.00000000001 per square inch) on the Patriots-Cowboys game, touching on other games -- and important Vinny Testaverde-related speculation -- as well.

Poll away!

1. New England at Dallas:

  Dallas by 7+
  Dallas in a close one
New England in a close one
  New England by 7+
2. Name one lesser-known player in the New England-Dallas megagame that will make a big impact. (Bonus points if it's not a Patriot).

3. Terrell Owens is ...

  A future Hall of Famer
  Not worth the trouble
A pain in the ass, but a great one
  Entertaining and excellent
  A giant douche
4. Washington at Green Bay:

  Packers will cruise at home
Redskins might have the better team, but not in Lambeau
  Redskins pull the mild upset
Do NFC games count in the standings?
5. Which of these road upsets would surprise you LEAST?

  New Orleans over Seattle
  Carolina over Arizona
  Houston over Jacksonville
  Oakland over San Diego
6. Which of these underdog one-win teams is MOST LIKELY to win Sunday?

  Cincinnati at KC
  Minnesota at Chicago
  NY Jets hosting Philadelphia
  Atlanta hosting NY Giants
7. Let's say that St. Louis at Baltimore is the only 1 p.m. game available at your house Sunday. Which of these options sounds best?

Sit in your comfortable house in your underwear, grin and bear it  Sit in comfy chair in underwear, pop in "The Dirty Dozen" on DVD instead
Drive 30 minutes to your father--in-law's house for a better game  Listen to some other game on the radio
Spend some quality time with the family.  Use the interweb to track all the games "live"
8. If the Chargers beat the Raiders handily Sunday, would you consider them back in the AFC title mix?

They are already in that mix
Crushing the Raiders would convince me
  With Norv Turner? Doubt it
If your name isn't Steelers, Patriots or Colts, take a seat
9. If Vinny Testaverde starts for Carolina, do they have a chance to win in Arizona?

Sure! They still have Steve Smith, right? And Vinny can still throw a nice ball
They have a chance, but not much of one. Who's next, Jeff George?
They were going to be in trouble with any QB -- Arizona is the better team
Can Vinny win in Arizona? Who the hell can't win in Arizona, except maybe the Cardinals ...
10. Will any of the three winless teams get that first "W"?

  New Orleans (at Seattle)
  St. Louis (at Baltimore)
  Miami (at Cleveland)
  None of them
  All of them
