A spin around this new thing called “the Internet”
Cold, Hard Football Facts for August 28, 2007

(Ed. Note: It turns out there's a whole world of sports material out there beyond the Cold, Hard Football Facts on something called "the Internet." We've enlisted Villanova student and boy-wonder intern Will Kantrowitz to hunt down daily links this season from out there on "the World Wide Web." It seems young whippersnappers already know all about it.)

Friend of the Cold, Hard Football Facts and Deadspin college football columnist Dan Shanoff combines two of our favorite loves: college football and heavy drinking. But then he blows it by tooling on man-of-the-trolls Lee Corso and Notre Dame.

With a little help from the guys at ZubazPants, Tom Coughlin gives the best sideline interview ever – and strikes back at that “pussy” Tiki Barber. Probably not safe for work.

Don’t play hardball with the Patriots. New England “ate (Asante) Samuel’s lunch and stuck him with the tab,” writes Boston Herald Patriots beat man John Tomase. Too bad a certain discredited Boston Globe hack isn't around any longer to look stupid after being wrong about yet another hate-filled Patriots story.

Did you see Keith Olbermann’s new commentary segment on the NBC Sunday Night pregame show? No? Good. It sucked. And we weren’t the only ones who thought so. So, too, did the guys at AwfulAnnouncing.com. “The hounds of public approbation,” Keith? We have no effin' idea what he's trying to say.

USC’s incoming prima donnas give football America another reason to despise the Trojans, besides the incessant hype.

The guys at JustCallMeJuice dish out a hearty round of huzzahs to summer-suffering sports fans. Great for anyone who hates the fourth preseason game as much as we do.

No wonder Chicago's Lance Briggs wanted a lot more money…he needs to support his hobby of crashing ridiculously expensive cars.

Not to be outdone by Briggs, Tampa Bay receiver David Boston is probably next on the Gridiron Godfather Roger Goodell’s hit list after getting busted for steroids and then a DUI. And check out the video of Boston’s police stop. Kind of long, but quite funny.
