Gridiron Grid: Monday Night Football
Cold, Hard Football Facts for November 27, 2006

Well, it was a banner week for the Cold, Hard Football Facts! We went 2-1 picking Thursday's games in our Holiday Beer Run. Then, the technical difficulties we had the rest of the week precluded us from publishing the weekly disaster that has come to be known as the Friday Beer Run.

Our nifty little .667 winning percentage Thursday bumped us up to a marginally-below-stellar mark of 47-35 (.573) picking the biggest games in the NFL each week.

Here's how we see tonight's Monday Night Football game shaping up in Seattle.

Brett Favre has sufficiently recovered from the nerve injury to his throwing elbow suffered in last week's blowout loss to the Patriots, enabling him to make his 252nd consecutive start at quarterback for Green Bay. He will be facing both his longtime coach (Mike Holmgren) and former understudy (Matt Hasselbeck).

Despite playing several games without Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander, the Seahawks have remained among the best in Scoreability, ranking eighth. Strong line play has been a hallmark for the Packers, who are in the top 10 for both the Offensive and Defensive Hog Indexes.

Seattle owns the only quality win between these two teams, as well as a tremendous home-field advantage.

Prediction: Seahawks 27, Packers 16
